So I'll start off by saying I'm an introvert. If you're looking for a social butterfly then you might as well keep on looking because that's really not me. Don't get me wrong I don't mind large groups of people (i love people watching), but I'm more comfortable in smaller groups or with people I know than absolute strangers. That makes meeting new people, especially women a little more difficult.
Now that we've got that disclaimer out of the way I should also mention that I'm a geek. I'm a software developer by trade so I'm quite at home on the Internet and computers. I also have other geeky interests like reading science fiction novels and comic books; playing board games, video games and card games; and watching sci-fi movies and tv shows.
My non-geek interests stem mostly from my upbringing in rural Central PA. Those interests include hunting, fishing (normal and fly), shooting, hiking, kayaking, and riding my motorcycle. I subscribe to the paleo style of living and as such I love spending time in nature. I do enjoy trips into Baltimore or DC on occasion as well.
Physically, I'm not the greatest male specimen out there by any means. I had bariatric surgery a little over 18 months ago and the weight is still coming off (if a little slowly). That being said I'm in much better shape than I was before surgery. I wish I could say I had a 6 pack (as that would mean I reached my goal), I'm still carrying around a case or so.
Now that you know a few things about me I suppose I should explain what I'm looking for in a partner. Ideally, I'm looking for a partner in crime who pushes me. Someone who balances my introverted tendencies with her own extroverted, social tendencies and adventures. Someone who can show me the bright, dazzling city life, but can also enjoy the quiet solitude of nature. In addition, I'm looking for someone I can have a calm rational debate about lots of different topics with, even ones we might both agree on since I sometimes like to play devil's advocate and argue for the opposite viewpoint.
