(The headline pertains to work/life balance, but physical balance also a plus...)
Now that we've cleared that up, here's a little about me: I love sports (golf/soccer player, NFL/NCAA basketball spectator), traveling abroad, photography, hot showers, sleeping in on rainy days, poker/game nights with friends, and ice cream during any time of year. I dislike arrogance, poor grammar, spiders, and early wake-up calls.
I appreciate men who open the door for a lady, take a genuine interest in my day, and can engage in witty/sarcastic banter - I can dish it as well as I take it. I have midwestern roots and think friendliness and open-mindedness are two of the best qualities one can have. My career is important to me and I'm fortunate to be very successful in that arena, but I certainly find balance day to day and am looking for someone with a similar outlook.
I've been told that I'm a guys' girl in that I can hold my own at a pool table, talk about the game like I actually paid attention (which I did), and thoroughly enjoy kicking back with some beers and good company. That said, I'm very feminine and love getting dressed up for dinner and a night out. Looking forward to cocktails and sundresses in the summer - I make a mean Paris Manhattan :)
My ideal match is smart, compassionate, can hold a conversation with a CEO as well as a milkman (do those still exist?), and loves to laugh. He's romantic and lighthearted, yet has a good grasp of his priorities and knows when to be serious and take care of them. His family (current and future) is important to him. He doesn't want to settle and would rather go on 5 dates with a wonderful woman than 5 first dates with the wrong ones.
To me, a relationship should have that "it" factor where the chemistry is undeniable, the trust is inherent, and the enjoyment of each other's company makes life that much better. If you feel the same, I'd love to hear from you!
