I am convinced that there is a reason those sites are primarily free: people aren't as serious. So, I have decided to try my luck on match.com with a paid account finally...
I moved into the northern Indiana area about two years ago after I graduated from Purdue and got a job in Noblesville. I love it here in that it's a great change of scenery and I enjoy my job, but I still don't know many people my age. The reason I joined this site is not to necessarily find my soul mate, but to make new friends. If something more comes from it then even better, but I don't want to have my hopes too high.
I'm a really simple NICE guy, very laid-back and funny when you get to know me. I pride myself on being more of a gentleman, and somewhat old-fashioned when it comes to dating women. Being honest and trustworthy are probably my top traits, but I tend to speak my mind TOO much or say something offense if I don't watch what I say (my friends say I'm bold and blunt). Living by myself has taught me how to be completely independent and I actually enjoy living by myself...I really don't get bored and no one ever makes a mess :)
Back in the college days, I used to be MUCH more outgoing but have calmed down a lot since then. I really have adjusted to the "adult" lifestyle (sigh...) On a weekend night, I'd prefer going to a chill bar or staying at home than going out to a club and dancing although I still do from time to time!
The more I am away from home, the more I am finding that I miss my family. I am a very family-oriented person and I love being around my family any second I can get, especially my little nephews! They bring out the youth in me and my nephew Ben really says the funniest things!
I love to workout like it's my second job, and am really quite proud of how fit and toned I have become. I used to have a pic up on here, but realize how classless that looks. It was more for my own pride than anything...but I firmly believe that "A man's best wealth is his own good health." Or woman for that matter. Take pride in your body!
I LOVE to be outside doing anything really, but this winter weather has kept me in hibernation unfortunately....I'd like to meet someone that will introduce me to new experiences in life, regardless of how big or small. This coming summer I plan on skydiving and picking up canoeing as a new hobby. Like I said, outdoors is a must for me so I really enjoy camping and fishing.
When it comes to women, I really don't think I have a type. I DO know that I am done with long distance relationships. Indianapolis or surrounding cities preferred. Nothing against long distance relationships, it's just I've always been in one and it makes it difficult at times. I want something NEW, someone NEW that will keep the youth in me. Physically, I love a woman with athletic legs and pretty eyes. Those are what I notice first in meeting someone. Next, I like to see where her ambitions and character are.
Women with children are not necessarily a no go, but other sites I have found that women are still with their baby's father and lying about it. Please don't waste my time or yours.
I have recently taken an interest in brewing beer. Started brewing my first batch a month or so ago and thought it was so fun! I really like going to breweries/wineries and trying new beers/wines so I think a fun first date would be going to one in the area!
