.. “Love is more powerful than all other earthly matters.” Chemistry, communication and sincerity are essential. Romance, intelligent conversations and silly playtime that has us laughing until it hurts. Finding that the other person’s happiness is our own happiness and... destiny! No pressure there, eh? I am always striving for a level of grace, not perfection (being realistic) and as long as another person’s intentions are honorable, I find that unique qualities and interests often make people even more compelling. Writing a profile is difficult, in that it seems so strange to describe what we are looking for in a mate, when a loving attraction would most probably change everything. The characteristics that would eventually lead us toward happiness and fulfillment may well be indefinable or unexpected. It seems that we are searching for something that poets have tried to define for many decades, although until we meet someone in person, we will not even be able to look into their eyes or feel their energy. It is difficult to trust a collection of words and a few pictures that are delivered via the “inter-web” and yet, I am hopeful and I will attempt to make only the most beautiful mistakes. People often come into our lives for a reason, be it a blessing or a lesson. Throughout my life, I have been told that I have an usual (but kind) sense of humor. I am often more interested in other people’s stories than I am my own. I choose to believe the best of people and I try to ignore the worst. I do not like to argue, as it seems pointless to me (point - counter point). “We do not need to attend every argument we are invited to.” This does not mean that I will not react or respond in some way, but I am quick to evaluate the potential thinking of other people (we never know what made them whom they have become). I would prefer to fail on the side of being too optimistic about a person than to have underestimated their potential. I do have seemingly good instincts, however (good thing, that). I am a long-time advocate (award winning - published author) for children who have disabilities and also for Inclusion. This (mostly volunteer) work seems to be my passion; my purpose. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature. I enjoy dancing (mostly freestyle), movies, restaurants, travel, reading, learning (always), antiquing, walking, time spent with long-time friends, making new friends and I might be persuaded to try most anything new, if reasonable (but perhaps only once, lol). “Someone should write a book where the main character slowly falls in love with the reader.”
