I make a yummy bowl of chili, excellent fish tacos, and my chocolate chip cookies are to die for! I'll try almost anything at least once. I like to stay in shape but also enjoy good food, good wine, and good beer - especially in good company. I like to wear cute heels and dresses, but I love a great pair of cowboy boots, too.
I'm honest, loyal, caring and know how to throw a good party when the occasion calls for it. I earned a Master's degree from Florida State University and still spend a few weeks of each year in the Southern states and on the Gulf Coast with best friends. I grew up on a family farm in eastern Nebraska; even though I live in the city, I'll always be a farm girl at heart, which means I appreciate home-grown garden vegetables, a good steak, a good herding and hunting dog, and someone who can fix and build things.
I was raised in a large Catholic family and survived 16 years of Catholic school without too much damage; I'm spiritual and pray/meditate every day and I sincerely appreciate my religious upbringing, but I'm not overly religious. I own a cat and am not afraid of spiders, mice or roaches, but snakes kinda freak me out. I'm athletic and can hold my own on the mountain, in the field or in the gym, but I'm not a pro by any means. I own a snowboard and can usually make it down the mountain without killing myself or other people; I would like to start skiing soon. I love football and a great tailgate; I own golf clubs and can drive a straight ball, but my bloody marys are better than my short game.
I like indie "new grass"/alternative rock music (Black Keys, White Stripes) and great D.J. mash-ups (e.g. Girl Talk), but I'll listen to almost every kind of music and I especially like listening to live music in small venues. I like to travel; I lived out of a backpack for a couple of months last summer as I traveled around the world to visit several international friends and find my family's roots in Germany. I look forward to going back to Europe soon!
