Hi! I guess I'll start by telling you a little bit about myself. I'm generally considered a fun person to hang out with. I have a good attitude, a great sense of humor and compassion for those around me. I take this approach towards most of life's encounters, and am able to manage both challenging and mundane obstacles with a level head as well as fully enjoy daily celebrations.
I'm a physical therapist and I truly enjoy what I do. This is actually a second career for me and it was an excellent decision as far as job compatibility is concerned. I enjoy helping people rehabilitate their injuries, and it also allows me to help all my aging, injury-prone friends. And although I like my work, I cherish my free time. Spending time with my family and friends is a priority, since these relationships will always be what is most important to me. I'm close to my brother and sister and their families and we look forward to holidays and other occasions when we're all together. On a day to day basis, I have surrounded myself with a good group of fun and supportive friends and am rarely at a loss for good conversation or social activities.
Another priority is taking care of myself, both physically and emotionally. I spend a lot of time participating in just about any outdoor or athletic activity - running, hiking, biking, skiing, playing soccer and basketball, doing triathlons - I like adventure and like to try new things (which is also why i spend a lot of time rehabbing myself along with my friends). I also have a definite case of wanderlust. Recent trips include visiting my niece and running the marathon with her in Seoul, South Korea, followed by a quick stop in Tokyo on the way home; Southeast Asia; hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu in Peru; skiing in Switzerland; and a quick jaunt in Europe to Budapest, Vienna and Prague. I was also lucky enough to qualify for the Long Course World Championships in triathlon a couple of years ago which took me to Australia. I am secure and very happy with my life right now; meeting the right person and getting married are also part of my plans.
My ideal match would have similar values and interests as me. He would have great character, a good heart and be my best friend. Good chemistry goes without saying and this is not based on looks alone. Qualities I admire are intelligence, compassion, self-confidence without arrogance, and consideration toward others. Also, I want someone with a good sense of humor, likes to have fun and enjoys socializing with family and friends. And because I give as good as I receive, you can expect all of the above from me.
