Re-emerging into the world at 50, after a 21-year relationship/marriage and about 12 years with my nose pushed up way too close to the grindstone as an associate attorney in a law firm. This is my second career after 13 years in television and film production (mostly documentaries), which followed USC Film School.
Flash forward: I am now trying to reconnect with my former creative self. I am taking art classes with my 13-year-old son, I joined a comedy improv group and a few weeks ago I actually took out my tenor sax (an extremely rare occurrence) for an impromptu jam session with dinner guests.
I am also looking to make a long-overdue career move. Searching for a way to have time for all of the above and to travel and see the world while still supporting myself, my two great kids (15 and 13) and (to some degree) my ex-. (Oh, and my creditors -- let's not forget about them.)
In the short term, I am looking to make new friends. I hope to eventually find a kind, loving, easy-going woman who likes to laugh, love and learn and is just crazy enough to want to share the rest of my life with me.
So that pretty much wraps it up. No need to meet now, really. Just text me your available dates for the wedding.
