I have been at the same job over 16 years now. I'm lucky that I like what I do and I work with good people. Technically I am a Mechanical engineer but my value to my company is figuring how to get things done. I am financially secure.
My free time, I like playing softball, and this winter I started playing basketball again (feeling my age though). I like walks and hikes (but not so much camping), and I'm looking forward to buying a bike this summer. I like to travel but haven't had much vacation lately. I started volunteering a few hours a week in November (helping with computers for a non-profit) and wish I could do more. My go to show is The Daily Show - that tells you about my sense of humor and that I'm interested in politics (left leaning but pretty middle of the road) and current events. I remember useless trivia, but not broad enough to be good at Jeopardy.
I'm looking for someone who is fun and pleasant, in decent physical shape for hiking or sports, likes watching sporting events (live and on TV), independent (self confident), introvert or not too extroverted, not controlling, not (too) religious, accepting of who I am.
