Thanks for stopping by to check out my profile. I am a progressive minded person who enjoys trying out new things. I'm native to Southern California, which probably explains my urge to visit places where you can experience more extreme weather!
My friends would say that I'm pretty mellow - laid back, a thoughtful listener, someone who likes to laugh. I work in the higher education field in the private sector, developing software for colleges and universities around the world. I love the work, but it can be very mentally exhausting. As a result, I like to do things that help me decompress - any physical activity, or something that just takes my mind away from work such as reading, movies and museums. I am a avid runner and so I am constantly training for a marathon or half marathon to race. It's my goal to some day run the Boston marathon. I am also dedicated to my yoga practice - it's the perfect compliment to all the running I do! When I have the time, I like to travel. I've been lucky in that my work has provided opportunities to visit other countries, and over the years and I've been to a lot of places. I just wish I could speak a second language!
I'd like to meet someone who has similar values and interests to mine - someone who sometimes leads, sometimes follows, open to trying something new, but also likes to hold on to favorites. I hope you love rollercoasters! I am probably not going to be a good match for anyone who lists shopping as a favorite thing to do. I believe that good chemistry needs to exist for any sort of relationship to develop. The foundation of that is being able to have honest and (mostly) enjoyable conversations. After all, if you can't communicate well, you'll never really know each other. Let's meet sooner than later.
