I'm dedicated to silliness and to other people. I'm currently working in neuroscience, but I've also worked all over the world in a bunch of different lives--as an astronomer, in the Peace Corps in Turkmenistan, at a startup, as a teacher, as a designer/illustrator/cartoonist. I can geek out equally on science, art, music, books, and camping gear. I laugh a lot. Every other sentence I say is a joke, which sometimes gets confusing to keep track of. I come from a large-ish family I adore, and have a group of friends I couldn't love more.
I want my relationships to challenge me and help me grow as a person. I get along best with people who are quirky, smart, funny, together, adventurous, thoughtful, and unpretentious. I'm looking for someone who takes life seriously but rarely himself, who cares about others, and for whom goodness is central.
