I have asked my friends to help me describe myself so I can reflect my true personality, as much as possible and as seen by others, in this profile. I was told that I am outgoing and down to earth, well traveled, smart, caring, loving, sexy (haha... my lovely best man friend), knows how to have fun, spontaneous, funny...
I think those do describe me well, or at least the person I strive to be, and I love my friends for them. My family and my friends are of the utmost importance in my life, they are truly my village and at times my strength. My job is important because it allows me to live the life that I have and provide opportunities for my kids. It has also provided me many traveling opportunities in the Americas and Europe, which has been a nice perk.
New York is the best for all that it has to offer (dining out, sporting events, parks, museums, music, fairs, events) and that extends out to all there is to see and do along the Eastern Seaboard, the proximity to Europe, and being able to travel there easily, as well as the Caribbean and other destinations to the south makes NY even better. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, but I have lived on the East Coast for about 15 years. I miss the Mountain, and if you have spent time in the PNW, you know exactly what I mean!
I love to cook and bake. I enjoy spending a fun night cooking, with music and wine. Both cooking and baking help me de-stress when I need it! When I am alone I like to crank up the music and go to town. Lets just say, once I get started, it's hard to stop, so my freezer gets very full!
During sports events like the Superbowl (or really any football), March Madness, World Cup... You get the picture, I think its always fun to go to a good sports bar and cheer with everyone else over beer and wings! I also enjoy celebrating this events at home with home made guac and fresh squeezed margaritas! (I promise you, you won't be able to get enough of either!!)
I like fun and different movies (TriBeCa Film Festival anyone??)
I like meeting new people and doing new things. As far as the people I go out with, I like to be with someone who has a sense of humor (laughter keeps us young) is confident in themselves, easygoing, and happy with their life, generally, and its also nice if you like your job, especially when you spend so much time there. I think we are all in control of our happiness, and if you are unhappy, take control and make the change. I don't think you can put a price on happiness.
My ideal relationship is when you have chemistry, similar values and dreams. It’s important to be best friends with each other and have good communication, honesty and romance. Both are willing to compromise and to give each other space when they need it. You want to share good times together and be there for each other through the rough spots.
If you have a dog that's a plus, because I've been dying to get one!
I like to travel whenever possible and have almost exclusively been travelling to Europe and to beaches recently, but I am looking to branch out beyond that at some point. Napa has also been on my mind...
I am active, I go to the gym, I run, do yoga and I teach Zumba once a week in addition to my regular job, so I can get my dancing fix in each week. I also walk everywhere, even when its freezing. I like to be moving and outside when I can. Theres also something to be said for a day at home and a Homeland Marathon, so I be sure to get a day like that in every once in a while!! I love the restaurants of NY from the 5 Star, to a hole in the wall nobody has discovered yet. I am lucky to also be able to take customers out and enjoy some of them that way as well!
I love to entertain and I have always had a house where people are comfortable.
