I learned to speak mandarin for I had challenge to survive while in the country. Ni ming bai ma. I learned to speak japanese for i was lost many times. I learned some german for i was trying to find out cost of boarding on train and person helping me sold me a ticket couldnt understand my english. . On my travels to france i wanted to pay for my meal but waiter didnt undestand why i was trying to pay with swiss currency i thus had to go get euro. i think every country has its own unique culture rules and custom. I believe in being well diversed in all aspects of life and learned to have patience when people have societal pressure from work. etc
i learned to understand that most people are good and to have open mind to change when meeting others. Im so eager to hear about your culture experience in travels.
If you have personal time outside of work truly want to meet to do a activity then respond but if you are not reliable or state your busy then that is not polite and you can move on to another person
