I'm a SF transplant - 5 years and counting. I love it here but I still jaywalk so I'm definitely still a NYer at heart. I'm active, but my activities tend to shift over time. In the past I've been into running, soccer, pilates, ice hockey, rollerblading (back in the day!). I'm currently more of a biker/hiker/skier/yogi, and I'm thinking of checking out a climbing gym one of these days. Part of why I'm so active is because I love to eat good food! I'm happy at a nice restaurant, often even happier at a delicious dive or cooking something up at home. I love to travel. I often save up my vacation time for one big trip - this year it is Colombia and Panama. (any tips? I leave after Christmas.) My family is back east, and my best friends are scattered, so I don't see many of them often enough but I am very lucky to have them. I have a job that I love, that I think (hope) makes a difference. (a commute that I hate - so it's not quite perfect!)
In a match, I'd love to meet someone who will make me laugh. Who I can be myself with (and vice versa), who will grow with me, who will join with me in tackling the challenges that life throws our way. Someone who will try new things, and introduce me to new things too. Who will at least entertain the thought of visiting some of the wacky places I want to travel. A real partner. But no pressure - I see the first date off of an online match up as being almost a 'pre-date' to see if there is any potential connection - since I don't think you can get a real feel for someone without meeting in person.
