From Appalachia, tried Atlanta, New England, and Carolina, fell in love with New Orleans and know what it means to miss it. Always seeking out new experiences, whether random roadtrips or new cultures and cuisines, and even when I'm overseas for work I always try to break away for some adventure. I love to travel, from going tubing in West Virginia on a whim or taking a long journey through sub-Saharan Africa.
I like DC a lot. There are always new restaurants to try and places to discover off-the-beaten path or just a short drive away. After 4 years here, first at the State Department and now running my own business, I've come to appreciate Washington for all of the great things it has to offer and overlook the egos and arrogance that you find here too. And when I need to, I escape by heading to the mountains on the weekends or grilling out on my rooftop in the evenings.
