I came out to California from Texas for college and never looked back. I have a passion for urban planning, just started a new job in the south bay that I'm pretty excited about (except the location!). I volunteer regularly and try to live my life as if the world was the way I'd like it to be. I travel a lot, besides that, my lifestyle is quite simple. I spent 6 weeks in the Alps, Dolomites, Vienna and Paris this past aug/sept and am always plotting a getaway of some sort. I think creativity is maximized when you live in the moment.
I have a head-over-heels relationship with fitness, running, cycling, yoga and pretty much all things movement. I think our bodies are marvelous, wonderful things, and the greatest sin of our lives is to waste our bodies away sitting behind screens. What happens to my mind and world when I am fit is like icing on a cake. I'm a non-native but deeply rooted in the Bay Area. I love to cook, everything from simple meals to boisterous dinner parties. I also enjoy climbing, traveling, camping, and trying new things. You'll often find me strolling through a farmer's market or blazing by on a trail. In a nod to my acquaintance who invented the concept, I identify as a quirkyalone (go on, google it!).
I'm looking for a man who has a passion for learning and a zest for life. Someone with the ability to make me laugh after a long day, a sweet way of challenging me, and who agrees friends are more important than money. You're smart as can be and would enjoy a run or bike ride together or kick my ass at your favorite sports. But honestly it's more important that you are a thoughtful person who is in love with your life! I don't care if we have identical interests, shared values and life goals are more important, so long as we accept and support each others' interests. Oops, got a little ahead of myself there, let's see if there's chemistry first! I currently split my time between Berkeley and the south bay, most weekends I'm in Berkeley while weeknights I'm down south. My work takes me to SF weekly, so please don't let my geography discourage you.
