I guess I'll give this online dating thing another try. Here's the part where I try to explain who I am and who I'm looking for in 1000 characters or less. OK, here's the short version: I'm an honest, hardworking guy looking to meet a beautiful, intelligent woman who will want to spend the rest her life with me.

Wow, I didn't get many responses just then. Well I got one, but they were trying to sell me something. Perhaps providing more information about myself will generate a higher response rate.
OK, here's the long version. Don't say I didn't warn you (Optional reading):
As I mentioned before, I've tried online dating before, and yes, I've met some really nice women, but so far, I haven't been able to meet that special someone.
One thing I really like about online dating is that it allows me to filter out qualities that are not compatible with my lifestyle. For example, I'm NOT looking to date anyone who has kids, is super religious, obese, or speaks broken English. If this applies to you, I'm sure you?re a great person, but we're not going to be a match.
Everyone else is welcome to send me a wink or an email anytime. It would be great if we enjoyed some of the same things just so we have something to talk about on a first date. It doesn't matter what you do for living or how much money you make either. As long as you can pay your bills and you're not involved in any illegal activities, we'll get along just fine.
One note about employment: Again it doesn't matter to me what you do for a living as long as you have time for dating. If you work 80 hours a week or you have so many social obligations that we can only see each other every other month, sorry, but that's not gong to work for me either.
What kind of woman would I like to meet? I don't want to get into details because I don't want to discourage anyone from trying. I don't care how tall you are, what kind of car you drive, or if you're a redhead, blond, or brunette. I'm attracted to many types of women from many walks of life. Qualities that never go out of style: Good sense of humor, honesty, compassion for others, and a positive outlook on life (nobody wants to date Debby Downer)
OK, enough of the do's and don'ts. Here's what makes me tick:
I go to the gym whenever I can, snowboard during the winter, and I attend baseball games in the spring. Go Angels! I just moved to the beach so I may add surfing to that list. Despite taking lessons, I've come to the conclusion that dancing really isn't for me, but I do enjoy trying new things. This year, I want to try scuba diving and Karaoke. Next year, I will finally take that cruise to Hawaii.
They say a picture speaks a thousand words. I think my photos tell a pretty interesting story. What you see is what you get. No, I don't have something in a different size in the back room. I take care of myself, try to eat right, but I also enjoy eating pizza and drinking beer on the weekends. I have a couple of degrees on the wall, but I was mostly a B student in college. I'm not a rocket scientist or a literary giant; however, I can wire-up a home theater system and I know the difference between it's, its, there, their, they're, your, and you're. If you need more than that, call NASA or open up Strunk & White.
