First let me say that everything on this profile is true - age, height, I'm terribly unphotogenic but, yup, that's really me in the pictures and they are dated accurately. When we meet the only surprises will be pleasant ones.
Ah, my name is Tim. The tihmmer came about because when I was a kid my friends called me Timmer (more later). I added the "h" (it's silent, like in "John") just to be silly...
Here goes:
Even-tempered me wants to spend time with someone who likes good music, food, wine and real popcorn. Separated 2 years ago after a 27 year marriage and thinking it's time to move forward with someone who has grown in life closer to my own direction. Not looking for marriage - yet, but I will be exclusive with whomever I'm dating.
If the "Currently Separated" status is off-putting for you, in the interest of full disclosure, let me explain. There is no hope for reconciliation - neither of us want that. We're much happier now and don't have any plan to be together. I haven't divorced purely so that she can continue to have the benefit of my insurance. That's it, nothing more. We will, of course, sometime down the road. I hope you can appreciate this gesture of civility.
If we meet on a weekday, I'll most likely wearing a suit and tie (I clean up well). As a teenager I worked at a high-end shoe store and cultivated an appreciation for fine shoes. I also like to wear nice hats, I always have - even back in the hair days ; ). I am perfectly comfortable in my skin at a dive bar or the Disney Concert Hall. Although I currently work in wine sales, I spent several years doing construction related jobs and am quite handy with a tool kit around the house. I've traveled within Mexico (Guadalajara is terrific!), Central America, the Caribbean and Hawaii. I've never been to Europe but will, hopefully with a mate/guide.
I love being in love; It does such wonders for the soul - but I know the difference between fantasy and the real thing, the difference between love and sex - between knowledge, intelligence and wisdom.
I'm in no hurry. Patience is one of my best traits.
I'm told that I'm a good man - sane and fair. That feels good to me, knowing I've earned the respect of others.
I've just given up smoking, although I was never a regular partaker. It's just a stupid and offensive thing to do and I'm done with it. I'll just eat bon bons instead ; )
I've been musically inclined all of my life. Give my anything with strings and I will make music with it. I work around town playing guitar, bass, pedal steel guitar, banjo and sitar - yes, sitar. I would love to come and play sitar at your yoga class some day!
I'm a busy guy, what with work and music projects but want to make time for some human warmth to balance my life - maybe I can help you with the same. I have a proclivity for bohemian types and think it's sexy if you're left-handed - certainly not a requirement, just an illogical quirk. I've no time for pushy, rude or self-important people. Sorry, it's just really boring.
My daughter is 20 and is away at college studying art. She does welding as well. She's also a fine bass player like her ol' man. Love that kid!
