Recently put acting career on hiatus to prepare for medical school. Although it was tough decision, I feel like I definitely made the right one! I know it sounds like a leap to go from acting to medicine, but if you know my background, it makes perfect sense. I've always been a science geek and a hardcore academic at heart. I do have an intense, creative side and love to perform--hence, acting career. However my primary creative outlet has and will always be playing music. I still play music in a band--mostly for fun--but we're actually pretty good for four dudes with intensely busy schedules! Things have actually come full circle as I always wanted to be a doctor as a "grown up" and started out pre-med as an undergraduate, but got bit by the artistic bug early on in college and took a little artistic detour that started with singing in a touring indie band. I had some great opportunities and thought I should pursue them while still young. Plus the medical field is kind of a tradition in my family: Dad is a doctor (Mom a nurse), so I had some youthful rebelling to do :) I really loved acting and performing, but the entertainment world just wasn't sufficiently satisfying or intellectually stimulating enough for me to do it for the rest of my life. Big transition, but suffice it to say, I prefer being a doctor to playing one on TV (cue laugh track!). Most of my time is spent studying, playing music or exercising (running/gym/crossfit). So I find myself here since my time for socializing seems to be ever-dwindling. But of course, I will make time for the right person! ;)
DISCLAIMER: Don't get the wrong impression from some of the "fancy pics" on here. I personally think that they don't capture my creative, hysterical, goofy, personality at all. To be perfectly honest, I think some of them are actually kinda douchey, haha! They just came with the territory of the job (I used to work as an actor/model person). I don't take myself that seriously. I'm actually a super down to earth, outgoing person with a razor sharp wit and absurd (kick ass?) dancing skills (?). Haha--you be the judge! ;) I'm definitely NOT the cold, "cooler than thou" looking person portrayed haha. Plus, I didn't want to drag pics of friends/ex on here with their faces blurred out like some dating site witness relocation program ;) So my work pics came in handy in that sense. But you can call me "Mr. Fancypants" if you like ;)
Music was and always will be my first passion. As I mentioned, I was in a band and am still playing music when I have time. So someone who appreciates music, performance, art and design would be ideal!
