Essay:
I love words, I love ideas, and I love learning new things. My work involves monitoring human rights issues. I travel to a few countries in Africa 2-3 times a year. It’s cool. It's also hard, and I wonder how long I will last. But I’m resolved to enjoy this as much as I can right now. I like to get involved in life in the city: I love fifteen dollar concerts, street festivals, independent films, trying out different restaurants, Bloombars, Busboys, the public library system, used bookstores, yoga, and now rock climbing! I have to say I think the museum date is overplayed in DC. I'm sure we can come up with something better to do. I’m looking for a guy who is passionate about life and pays attention to what’s going on in the world. I like a man who is emotionally aware; culturally open-minded, and up for an adventure. I am attracted to men who are relatively close to my age (26 - 39). I feel the need to stress that upfront, given some of my experience on here. Kindness is important, and progressive values (such as gender equality) are also essential. It's important for me to have authentic relationships, no matter how difficult they may be - though with the right person, I find it isn't so difficult. I seek communion, mellow compatibility, friendship and mutual respect. And in the words of another great writer, I choose to love with all my intelligence. I only respond to messages that refer to something I said in my profile.
