I don't know you yet, so why I don't just lay my cards on the table?
I am a witty, honest, straightforward, southern gentleman, born and raised in Austin, TX. I have an unconventional work schedule, because I am in the restaurant business.
I open doors, bring flowers, stand when you excuse yourself from the table, all that and so much more m. It's how I was raised.
5'9" and 130 pounds, really.
I graduated from college in upstate NY (Cornell University), then began my career in Miami. I have also lived in Vegas, Austin, Dallas and Philadelphia. Now I'm back in Fort Lauderdale and loving it.
I am a night owl and rarely go to bed before 2:00am.
My sense of humor is extremely dry, often silly. Timing is my 6th sense. I have a real talent for mimicking accents too.
I have been to over 30 countries and more than 150 cities in the US and abroad, all for pleasure. The Amalfi Coast in Italy is my favorite, but SE Asia is the most interesting, culturally different.
I was married once, for 3 1/2 years and divorced amicably in 2005.
Family is very important to me and I am close to them even though there are many miles between us.
I like to be outside but am not outdoorsy.
I love to cook and I also like to clean. I'm quite good at both, other than having poor portion control (there's always too much, thanks mom).
I've got one damn cute dog that was a gift from my mother and no kids.
I am full of of useless facts and bits of trivia and can carry on a conversation about any topic.
I am very talented at ordering food for other people.
I smoke and I know that's a deal breaker for most. I am by no means a chain smoker, however I do everyday so ... I chose "daily" rather than "occasionally" to be honest.
Also, I am allergic to alcohol (not a recovering alcoholic), have never been drunk and lived with it my whole life. My body simply lacks the necessary enzymes to digest any type of alcohol. Because of my business, I know more about alcohol than almost everyone and can pair the perfect wine with your meal.
I have learned that guys aren't the only ones guilty of not reading profiles.
I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, golf, bowling, going for a drive with the top down, playing with my little Yorkie, Cookie, dining out all around South Florida, talking about food, travel both locally and abroad, road trips, people watching, movies, keeping up with a few of my favorite shows... Did I mention that I'm a Cowboys fan? But that's only on Sundays in the fall.
