I like to think of myself as a pretty laid back guy and I really dont let a whole lot of things bother me. Having a sense of humor is definitlely the most important thing to me and I am always finding reasons to laugh and point out hilariousness whenver possible. I can be serious when I need to but, for the most part, I try to have as much fun as I possibly can and will find a way to enjoy almost any situation.
I moved here from Florida about a year and a half ago and am really enjoying myself more and more every day I’m here. I was unsure about staying long term when I first came out, but I am now over the hump and want to stay here for the next several years at least. So far I have been busy but don’t even feel like I have scratched the surface of everything the Bay Area has to offer. I have done a good job getting out and trying everything but I definitely want someone unique and special to do all this exploring with (preferably not a bunch of dudes).
I try to mix up the weekends and constantly go new places (hiking, new restaurants, live bands, strange bars, wandering SF) but during the week my social life is busy but routine. I have a Dalmatian named Dude that I try to take to the dog park almost every week night. You obviously don’t have to have your own dog but you will get extra points if you enjoy the company of hilarious and devastatingly handsome Dalmatians from time to time. I play guitar in a 90's cover band and put allot of time into that. I like to think I have an appreciation for most live music so again, extra credit for wanting to go with me.
2 other important facts about me (I think) are that 1) I never watch the news and 2) I am not at all religious. Point #1 keeps me a little out of tune with current events but I think it has allowed me to form objective opinions and ideas without seeing it through the eyes of a Democrat, Republican, or any other filter. I don’t have a lot of political conversations but when I do people are always surprised at how original and sensible my opinions are. Point #2, I will defend any ones right to their own beliefs but I don’t appreciate a dude in a white shirt, tie, and a bike helmet showing up on my porch either. If you are super religious we might be better as friends.
As far as who I am looking for let’s just say I cast a wide net. I don’t really have a “type” but I am a firm believer in chemistry. I think an intelligent young lady like yourself can probably figure out that a strong and creative sense of humor is a must, but the rest just kind of takes care of itself, it’s either there or it isn’t. As far as having the same interests and hobbies goes that’s a “nice to have” but certainly not a requirement. I find having similar interests helps in the beginning as you have a lot to talk about, but I have always enjoyed finding new interests through the girl I’m with and having them show / teach me new things. That being said, if you think there is something here write me an email. All I ask is that you be the perfect woman for me in every way. No questions asked.
