I am an easy going person with an optimistic outlook on life. I have many passions, and am the type that would much rather stay active than have idle time, so I am constantly on the move pursuing them or my professional goals. I moved to Philadelphia from New York 4 years ago because I got a teaching job in South Philadelphia. I'm still working at that same school and am a 3rd grade teacher there. Working with children is fun and I enjoy how different every day is at my job. I love my students and work very hard to make sure they are getting a quality education. It takes a lot out of me but I love the summer and the beach so I keep that in mind while I'm working those 10 hour days!
Aside from work, I am an avid sports fan/athlete, I'm somewhat of a nerd in that I enjoy museums/aquariums/zoos and I like to read nonfiction, fiction, and political columns. I also have been training to run a marathon and hope to be ready to run the 26.2 miles by the spring time. There are days though where I just like to bum it and enjoy watching my favorite T.V. shows (Dexter, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead) or vibe to the music that I love. I love going to concerts, sporting events, movies, bars/clubs, out to eat, or anything active on a date but I also welcome other suggestions outside my norm because it's good to broaden your horizons too.
My strongest attributes are that I'm personable, laid back, friendly, and supportive of the people that I care for (friends, family, students). I'm mature and confident in my skin. Having this profile is somewhat strange to me but my 2 older sisters convinced me that it might be a good way to meet the right person since I'm pretty busy and disinterested in doing that at the bar. They apparently have friends who it worked for so I decided to keep an open mind and try this out. So that said, ladies the woman I am looking for would be genuine, caring, positive, fun, and intelligent. At this point in my life I'm much more interested in a relationship than a fling.
