I'm a writer but I'm not crazy. (Or not the bad kind of crazy, anyway.) I love to hike and paint and cook. I almost never lose my car keys. I am passionate about my work and the outdoors, but I also love to lie around with a book. (Every once in a while: a wonderful, really slow Sunday, where it's morning all day.) I enjoy offbeat movies and red wine and adventure and little debbie oatmeal cream pies. Still, I'm something of a health nut. A regular jogger (my dog keeps me motivated), I cook colorful meals and try to remember to drink enough water....
This might just be the year I learn to belly dance. I'm an excellent listener; I scribble outside the lines; I worry about stray animals. I'm working on my second novel. I don't take my friends or family for granted. I've lived all over this country and have found I can be happy just about anywhere.
(That said, I'm thrilled to be in the Bay Area and am planning a move into the city or Marin.)
The guy I'm looking for... He should be smart, sharp, witty, and engaged in life. Unavailable men bore me. He must be emotionally available but (please) not desperate. Open minded. Kind. Vegetarian-friendly. Able to relax and have fun. Passionate. Monogamy-minded. Attractive. Charismatic. Fun!
Last but not least, there absolutely must be a spark, a physical, almost tangible thrill. It's either there or it's not. Chemistry is non-negotiable.
Bonus points if...
--you like hiking (or at least some sort of outdoorsy adventure)
--you appreciate the arts
--our initial conversation doesn't begin with you muttering, "First thing I gotta tell you is that the restraining order my ex has out on me is pure crap. Totally unfounded."
