Hi! I'm Tammy. I grew up in the country with a heart for urban life. I am very spontaneous and a bit of a free spirit but my kids, a girl, 15, and a boy, 13, are my world and keep me grounded. I am so proud of my kids but life with two teenagers can get a little nutty at times. They are my priority and while I am not looking for a Dad for them as they already have one, I do need someone that can understand their importance in my life.
I love spending time my family (especially my Dad) and friends whether it is over a cup of coffee discussing Politics and the latest world events or out riding a Quad on the farm, I am always up for the next adventure. I enjoy traveling and have been to England but Africa is on my bucket list. I have often considered moving to Africa once my kids are grown and out of the house.
I am not sure what it is about Africa that draws me but when you hear about all the needs people have there it pulls on my heart strings. But it sort of makes sense since one of my biggest passions in my life as been to help others.I have never met a stranger. Conversations tend to come easy for me as I have found that everyone as a story to tell and some times they just need you to listen. I have been fortunate to have a job that allows me to work from home so I can be there for my kids while I also start preparing to return to school for my Masters in Social work or counseling. This will allow me to get out there and help more people.
I not really into TV unless it is a great series that I can watch beginning to end on Netflix. I do love music though. A live band at a nice pub sounds like a great time. I tend to listen to anything but my preference tends to be more indie rock and folk. I really enjoy Ryan Adams, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Fleet Foxes and Bonnie Prince Billy (Johnny Cash's favorite artist). I tend to have music on and around me all the time and you might catch me dancing and singing around my house but please no cameras!
My personal style and description of me would be a huge mix of classic Katherine Hepburn, fun loving carefree Marilyn Monroe, throw in a little Bob Marley and the song by Alanis Morissette "Hand in my Pocket" and you are going to have me. A funny, short, tough, soft-hearted, goofy, smart woman looking for a man that is wanting a partner in life's big adventure. Are you him?
