I like to stay active and have many interests but I am mostly passionate about food. I enjoy cooking and my friends and I have regular dinner nights. I staged at a restaurant for almost a year just to see what it's like. I work for a technology company but I also am involved with PR firms to test and promote products; mostly outdoors stuff. My room looks like the inside of an REI.
I like discovering new bands and musicians but I have no problem listening to Top 40. I don't really care if a band is in Rolling Stone or Pitchfork.
I like to ask a lot of questions and am am very curious about things. I read - a lot. I have an insatiable appetite to learn things. I read almost exclusively non-fiction books. I am interested in why people do things. Human nature. Books like Freakonomics, Outliers (and other Malcolm Gladwell books), Good to Great interest me. I do read fiction once in a while. I didn't like Twilight but thought Hunger Games was good.
I like people who takes responsibility for themselves and their actions. I don't like hearing "what's the big deal?" I can't stand it that nobody uses their turn signal anymore. Am I alone here?
I am looking for someone who cares about other people and the world we live in. I want someone who knows how to have a good time but is responsible and respectful of others. I want someone who is not afraid to try new things, is independent but also appreciates the time we spend together. So, pretty simple, right?
