I'm pretty content with my life, and for that I'm incredibly thankful. I like my job, have a great group of friends, and I enjoy taking advantage of all the things Houston has to offer.
For the past five years I've worked for a non-profit public school district here in Houston. I taught middle school in Third Ward for two years before moving into a role with the regional office supporting all of our schools with recruitment.
I’m motivated and ambitious. I usually have a plan, but am always willing to try new things. I enjoy exploring new places, both inside and outside Houston, and I would like to travel more. There's a long list of places I haven't been to, both inside and outside the country, and I'm looking for someone who wants to help me check some of those off the list.
Most of my free time involves hanging out with friends, exercising, playing tennis, and cheering on my Auburn Tigers. :) I don't think I could survive a Fall Saturday without college football. Since moving to Houston, I've finally gotten into the NFL and love the Texans too. If we're lucky enough to meet, remind me to tell you about the time I stalked Ben Tate off a plane; it's one of my finest moments. :)
I try to stay physically fit and active. I play tennis, and enjoy walking and running the Memorial loop with friends.
I'm grew up in the church, and I try to go every Sunday in addition to being active in other church activities as it's an important part of who I am.
The rest of my time is spent with friends, usually hanging out at a bar or the pool in the summer. I love being in the water, whether it's a pool, a beach, or the lake. I can't say I'm a fan of cold weather, which is probably why I love Houston so much.
