You know how they say you could put a monkey in front of a typewriter for eternity and eventually he’d come up with Shakespeare? Do you think he’s available to write this profile for me? Seriously, this is not easy. But, you know that already, right? So, here goes…I confess I’m an actor. But keep readin’. I’m not your conventional L.A. guy by any stretch. My mind’s in Berkeley and my heart’s in the theater. With my law degree and a passion for education, it’s all crystallized into an educational business that I love: bringing Shakespeare to students of all ages. This is no trudge through dusty stale poetry. It’s all about the fun, self-discovery and togetherness that theater promises. A romantic? Yup! totally incurable! I suppose much of L.A. tells you to hide or apologize for such foolishness, but I can’t and won’t. Got another confession to make…I’m a native Valley boy, but keep readin’. To be honest, all the money and the scene never appealed. After a few years on automatic at UCLA, I transferred and woke up in Berkeley. Politics was alive, performing arts was blowing my mind and amazing people were appearing where all the stereotypes had stood before. Yes, college was many years ago, but it truly changed me. Okay, now I've actually BECOME the monkey writing for eternity! So much for brevity. Amazing trips to Alaska, Spain and Costa Rica. Escaping to the Sierra’s. Fighting the good fight in environmental law. Performing. Directing. Teaching. Look out…here comes the list of adjectives...My friends would tell you I’m intense, passionate and intelligent. But they’ll also tell you I’m relaxed, funny, generous and understanding. Then of course I’m also sarcastic, silly and totally immature. I believe in family, close friends, listening and enjoying the simple things. Like I said, not your typical L.A. guy. If that’s intriguing to you, let me know. Or as Bill would put it…”Speak, my fair, and fairly, I pray thee.” Perfect Match: What? I have to describe you?! Describing me was hard enough. So much of what I enjoy in relationships is discovering things I didn’t know I wanted because I didn’t know they existed. So this description is bound to be woefully incomplete because I don’t know you yet! That said…I would like to find someone who’s found something she loves to do in life and knows how lucky she is to have found that.I ‘m looking for someone who’s open-minded and inspired in what she does. An interest in politics, art or education would be great, but generally just someone who appreciates learning.(No, you don’t have to be a theater or Shakespeare nut, just be able to handle being around one. No, I’m not looking for someone to be “on” all the time. If we can’t relax together, what’s the point?) Maybe everyone says this, but I’m looking for someone who is happy, playful and has a great sense of humor. A spirit of curiosity and adventure about travel, food and art would be wonderful. Someone who’s excited to get out to music, theater and art events; or would like to share some hiking, tennis or weekend trips.
