Laughter really is the best medicine and I'm always looking for a good laugh or, better yet, a chance to make others laugh. Wanting to laugh with friends has just encouraged my sarcastic, witty side. What else...? I'm fiercely loyal to my friends and family; they're a critical part of my life and as such I protect those relationships. I love when I get inspired to do create something special for my friends and it doesn't matter if it's a store bought gift, a customized t-shirt, a new recipe I've never tried before, etc... get an idea stuck in my head and I'll make it happen if it will brighten someone's day.
I'm currently furthering my education by going to night school for an MBA. I've already got a degree in chemistry, but as my job has moved into management rather than lab work, the MBA seemed like the next step. I try to use my chemistry know-how to make homemade cordials and liqueurs...and if that isn't better living through chemistry, I don't know what is! (... and no, that isn't what they taught in school, but it would have been so much better if they did)
When I'm not working or studying I tend to stay very active. I walk my dog several times a day, go to yoga classes, and run... a lot. I completed my second half marathon in June and I'm training for my first marathon in October. I've done races in San Francisco and Las Vegas and I'm looking to travel for at least one run per year. Other times I'm doing mud runs with friends, which you might have already guessed from my profile picture.
During my downtime I like to explore new places to eat. I'm not so picky that I won't eat at chain restaurants, but they're never my first choice. When I can't find a good restaurant, I'm happy just to cook something new at home. I enjoy going to amusement parks, going to see concerts, movies & live sports, but a night at home hanging out with friends at home watching movies and playing games sounds great too.
My match should be able to see the humor in most of what life has to offer and be willing to laugh at yourself sometimes. If you fall down, I'm going to make sure you're not hurt, but if there's nothing wrong, we'll share a good laugh (and that goes both ways). I'm looking for a woman who will engage me in intelligent conversations and debates. An active lifestyle and sense of adventure are a must; my ideal match will want to share in my experiences and will invite me to share their experiences all while we both look for new adventures.
