I'm not sure what could be less fun than writing about myself, but I guess it's unavoidable, so here goes. I appreciate eccentricity far more than conformity; I love being outdoors, especially if dogs are in the picture; I'd rather listen to music than watch TV; and although I love all kinds of travel, I'm drawn back to the ocean again and again. I have a great family at home in PA, and a fabulous urban family here in DC. After working too hard for a few years, I've scaled back and started traveling more, taking guitar lessons, and generally trying as many new things as I can. I've taken a bunch of surf lessons the least few years and love it; just recently tried stand-up paddleboarding on the Potomac and may be hooked on that, too. I'm hoping a photography class is on tap next.
I'm looking for someone who can make me laugh, especially at ourselves, who will go deaf with me seeing live music, and who will take me camping despite my irrational fear of being eaten by a bear. Someone who will join me on my quest to find the best burrito in DC (bonus points if it's a decent breakfast burrito), and who thinks travel to a place with no blackberry/cell phone reception is a Very Good Thing. Over-inflated egos and arrogance make me nuts. On the other hand, if you have a slightly off-kilter sense of humor, don't take yourself too seriously and like a daily dose of adventure in your life, I may swoon.
