I'm a very rare find here in Denver.... I don't need to spend every minute outdoors (I'm also a native, which is rare too)! While I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, rafting, etc.... (I have been doing these things all of my life) I prefer my heels to my hiking boots... my flipflops are still my favorite! I want to go swing dancing, and to see live music in the park! Theater and museums will always grab my attention! Planning things is not my strong suit, but tell me where to be and when, and I guarantee I'll have a great time, and so will everyone around me!
I love football, Peyton Manning is the only quarterback who could come to Denver and not make me revolt. Please don't distract me during a Broncos game (it makes me cranky).However if your hollering by my side we'll get along fine! While hockey is going on I love to watch the games. Don't ask me the players' names, but I will cheer my fool head off! I love to go to the nearest sports bar and enjoy a great beer (Coors Light does NOT qualify as a great beer (or even good for that matter)). Live sports are even better! I love to try new restaurants, but I always come back to my favorites! I am adventurous with a loyal streak I suppose.
I live in Capitol Hill, and love it! The suburbs remind me of Dante's third level of hell... really not my scene. I'm allergic to yard work, shoveling snow and nosy neighbors (noisy neighbors are a totally different story). I like the noise and variety of Capitol Hill!
Travel is my first love! I don't think I have ever turned down a trip that takes me out of the country (road trips are pretty amazing too)! One of my favorite spots in Europe is Florence. It's so full of history and beauty, however I did find that I got lost a lot, all the buildings looked the same to me and it's hard to find my way around any city that doesn't have mountains on one side (one of the down sides of growing up in Denver)! But the Swiss Alps might have changed my opinion, or London! It's kind of fun to be in a country where you're the one who has a "lovely" accent!! I think each time I go some place new I find a new "favorite".
I love to hang out with friends and family, whether it's just spending a quiet evening watching TV or doing something adventurous and fun!. I have 2 nephews who are the apples of my eye and constantly cracking me up! I would do anything for them, and I love to spend time with them. I get to take them out, wind them up and give them back! It's pretty wonderful to be the fun Aunt! I spend time with people who make me laugh, and who laugh at my corny jokes. Witty banter is a mainstay of my life. Drama is not something I look for, in fact I shy away from it at all costs. I've found as long as you are willing to talk to people you can avoid almost all of the drama that we humans are so good at creating! I'm in this for fun. If it ends up being something else, so be it, but I really am just looking for fun people to connect with.
I really value a man who is honest and caring (who doesn't) but also who knows his own mind and appreciates the fact that I know mine.
