Would he get my reference to the Dos Equis interesting man quote in my headline? Most likely no. If I could see thought bubbles over his head they would probably be cooked chicken legs or a full turkey with steam coming off of it or something. I don't know...

I grew up in St. Louis and have lived in LA for 12 years. I followed my sister out here. She's since moved to San Diego, but we see each other a lot. After living in just about every neighborhood in town I realized that I'm a beach guy and prefer not to travel east of Lincoln Blvd. Seriously though, I venture out of my hood quite a bit as I have friends scattered about, but i love just riding my bike or walking to where I want to be.
So I like the usual stuff: Good food and bev, conversation, exploring... A great date evening for me would involve cooking a meal together while sharing a bottle of wine and some laughs. Rolling down to a local haunt for din is just as fun.
So, what do I look for in an "ideal match"?
Cute and funny come to mind. I know, kinda generic, but still true. Ideally your family still speaks to you (haha) and you dig your job.
Proximity to each other is important too as the thought of driving to Lancaster for our date doesn't excite me. ;) Hopefully you're within 15 miles of Venice. You like animals and are compassionate. You wouldn't be hesitant to hit the road for an impromptu weekend road trip. Finally, You see the bigger picture and don't sweat the small stuff.... you actually laugh at it.
