Hi there! I moved to LA about a year ago but have lived in Southern California (San Diego) for several years, and I love it! I lived all over the country growing up, but was raised primarily in the Chicago area. I'm a midwestern girl at heart, but I love the laid-back nature of Southern California and am excited that I don't have to deal with winter anymore (unless I want to go skiing with friends!).
I work in the communications field and have truly found my career passion, and I work very hard. When I am not working, I like to take advantage of my free time. I am very athletic, and enjoy doing physical activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, Pilates, yoga on the beach, etc. I enjoy playing tennis and golf, beach volleyball (I suck at it, but I've got a killer serve) and I like to catch sporting events of all kinds, whether it be baseball basketball, hockey, etc.. I also like taking spontaneous road trips, and seeing where the adventure takes you - I have driven across the country, and it is the best "vacation" I've ever experienced.
I am outgoing and like meeting new people, and I am very close to my friends. I've enjoyed meeting friends in LA and am learning so much about the city - but there is so much more to see! I am also adventurous with food, and like to try out new restaurants, and also like to cook - and I think I'm pretty good at it! (It is a continuous learning experience). I like to go out once in a while but would not consider myself a "party animal". I would like to try new things, such as wine tasting, kickboxing, paddle boarding, cooking classes, and surfing! One of the things on my bucket list is to eventually be a foster parent to a dog (one day!).
My friends would also describe me as someone who is independent, funny, charismatic, energetic, loyal and outgoing, who doesn't take themselves too seriously. I love to smile and I try to make others smile, especially when they seem to be down. I am also very down to earth, and like to get out a meet new people!
I have worked really hard to make a career for myself and have and am ready to meet somebody special. That being said, I would like to take the time to really get to know someone, so I pretty open-minded and would like to see where things may lead. I really respect someone who is comfortable with himself, and isn't trying to be someone he's not. I also appreciate guys who do the little things, like calling just to say hi:) I'd love to meet someone who likes to do stuff and explore different places, but who is also content with chilling on the couch with a good movie and some wine as well. I also think that a good sense of humor is a must, and someone who can make me laugh at myself. I am an active person, and I appreciation someone who also lives an active lifestyle. Finally, I admire confidence, whether is is understated and quiet, or someone who is more extroverted - it really depends on the guy.
If any of this interests you, send me a message :)
