Let's just start out from the gate with this admission: There are few things in my life I have resisted more stridently than the online dating thing. You may find yourself asking why. (It's okay. I do myself!)
Simple stubbornness. Let's just say I subscribed to the romantic notion that my partner and I would meet cute in one of those random occurrences that generally seem to only happen in movies. I just couldn't bear the thought of having to tell people I met my partner online. The thought still rankles me for some reason. LOL. ("I used to meet people so easily! I shouldn't have to do this!") :)
Then it occurred to me, "You know what? Everybody on here probably thinks the same thing. You think you're so unique? Anyway, lots of people meet people this way in this day and age. You're way behind the curve, dude! Quit being so arrogant, let go of your friggin' ego for a minute and just give it a try."
So here I am. Giving it a try. Yay! I realize I've told you nothing about me in this whole diatribe, but, well... Perhaps this whole diatribe tells you more about me than I could ever hope to. Anything else, well... I guess you'll just have to find out for yourself, won't you? Yep. The old-fashioned way, ;)
