Until I was six, my sisters had me convinced that the entire U.S. celebrated my birthday on July 4th. Once I learned that the fireworks weren’t just for me, my narcissism ended - but my ability to dream hasn’t. Call me an optimist but I see great things in the future: security for Israel… trips to Iguazu Falls in Brazil… simultaneous titles for the Wolverines and Red Wings…you know, important stuff. I’m the guy who knows everyone from the UJC, the guy who hosts an LA “orphan” seder for 70 people, the guy who attends a friend’s flugelhorn concert to show his support. I’m fortunate enough to live comfortably and I try to use my money wisely. I believe that tzedekah is part of our responsibility and I’ve been involved with causes from diabetes to Judaism. While hot air balloons, white water rafting, and nature photography are all part of my repertoire, truth is, I’d much rather be at home watching Lost with good company. (okay, maybe not, but a balanced life is a good idea). Really, helping people stay healthy, doing charity, hoping to create a family – this is my life’s work and it feeds my soul every day
