I love the definition of lucky--when opportunity meets preparation. So I tend to focus on what makes sense for me and don't over plan my life--I take care of the big things, leave many things to chance, and have been pretty lucky overall. I make a living off my smarts and have been described as hyper analytic in the workplace. I am a man of reason. In my private life, I have discovered that my intuition is the best guide as I can develop a convincing argument for just about anything. I am a pretty good listener, reasonably direct, and like both of us to be honest--so if I am doing something that really bugs you, I am pretty good at making adjustments.
I like smart women and enjoy a good conversation plus trying to find ways to amuse you (and myself of course). I also like it if we can find ways to be active together--hiking, biking, blading, golf, skiing--I have even been on a running date or two before. I am a guy, so I am somewhat visual, but I am more interested in understanding our chemistry. My mind will likely wander to thinking about what a day of lounging with you would be like. What would we talk about? How irresistible would we find each other to be? Could we have fun even running errands?
By the way, I spend a couple of days a week in South Pasadena (when my kids are in school) and most of the rest in Manhattan Beach (close to where I work and where I enjoy weekends). I enjoy spending time in each place (both are very walkable) and it really helps me manage the grind of commuting. It fits my personality to enjoy a bit of variety. I have lived east, west, and midwest, although I am native to LA. I have also travelled to or through 30 countries and still enjoy a few trips a year. If there is something new you want to explore, I am likely to be interested.
