I’m a neuroscientist and and scientific consultant, and I like to make people laugh. In fact I used to do standup comedy in college, but I wasn’t neurotic enough to keep it going. I read a fair amount, fiction and non-fiction, and I like talking about books. I like to write in my spare time as well ... though I'm probably the only writer in LA not working on a screenplay. Currently I write short stories, and a popular, humorous neuroscience blog. I love playing sports, particularly with friends, and just being generally active. I’m a fairly good swing dancer, and a mediocre guitar player. I like to cook, but I don’t like to follow recipes. I also like listening to This American Life, though I think Radiolab may have surpassed it as my favorite NPR show. I'm not a regular sports fan, but I love watching good games in almost anything (by descending preference: soccer, basketball, football, tennis...) I can be passionate and animated, and at other times very laid back. I'm very honest and open. Go ahead, ask me anything. I’d love to find a woman who’s intellectual and passionate … someone who likes to discuss books and world events, and loves to laugh. If she is a bit sarcastic that’s a plus. I definitely want someone who is active, but who also enjoys chilling out and reading and maybe watching Modern Family together.
