Can any of us really say what our IDEAL match is? If we're on here we're single (hopefully! lol) which means we haven't met our ideal match. Sure, I can tell you what physical attributes I look for and what personality traits are a must...but how am I to know that that ideal person for me isn't the exact opposite of what I've always looked for? Wouldn't that kind of explain why I'm still looking for that ideal person...because I was looking at the wrong people?
But in an effort to appease Match.com...here's what I have always looked for. I definitely need someone with a sense of humor. If you can't take witty banter you are not going to be happy with me! lol I want someone who is ok with curling up on the couch with me and just watching a movie and is equally comfortable going out with a group of friends for a night at the local bar. I drink occasionally, but I can also sit at a bar and drink soda all night or nurse one beer and have just as much silly fun...I want someone who can do that with me sometimes. I want a partner who understands the importance of family ties and does his best to have a close relationship with his family. I want someone who understands that a strong relationship doesn't include jealousy, possessiveness or insecurity. If I'm with you it's because I WANT to be with you, but every relationship needs a strong foundation of "our time" while still making room for "my time" and "your time". I want somebody who knows how to be an adult when the time calls for it, but has never let the child inside him die! I need someone who values honesty above all else.
I've become a bit of a gym rat lately. I've been working on getting into better shape since the beginning of the year, and in the process of getting closer to my own personal goals, I've discovered that I LOVE working out! :)
I'm an introvert by nature and an extrovert by choice. I've always been extremely shy, but I figured out once that you never have a reason to be shy if you know everyone...and that has been one of my life missions since then! I'm a very independent person. I have a need to know that I can take care of myself. I'm willing to admit when I need help, but I want to be shown how to do something at the same time so that I know how to do it myself if I ever need to do it again and don't have anyone to help me.
My favorite thing in the world is spending time with my little girl. I read A LOT. My great shame is that I have a serious karaoke addiction...Actually, nah, I'm not ashamed of that! lol I love to sing and I'm good at it. There's nothing better than being good at something you love to do! I'm not a huge sports buff, but...I do like to catch a couple of Nebraska or Giants games a year and I'm a die hard Yankees fan (but I hate watching baseball on TV). The only true exception to not being a sports buff is I LOVE hockey! I'm a huge Rangers fan but if I can get my hands on tickets I'll go see anyone play! I love camping but I hate bugs (thank you God for Deet! lol) I love to cook and like to try new dishes but have very few opportunities (my six year old's palate is very simple! lol)
I love my big annoying Italian family and if I had the choice I'd be living in the same 20 mile radius as the rest of them. But because family is so important to me I'm here in GA so my little girl can be close to her dad.
I am a totally sarcastic person (I think it's part of my charm ;-) ) and I love other people who are sarcastic and have a good sense of humor. But even though I have a slightly mean sense of humor I'm the kind of person who'd give my worst enemy my last dollar if they were in need. I truly believe in treating other people like you want them to treat you instead of how they actually do.
I'm a transplant from the north, so if you hate Yankees you might not want to hit me up. lol
