How many sentences do I have to paint you a picture? I would rather meet face to face and FEEL a connection than try to find one here. This is window shopping so I hope these photos are worth a thousand words. Let me tell you my story. Growing up in Crestwood/Scarsdale in Westchester county, there is a city boy in me that took the train into Manhattan for countless major concerts and holiday events. Madison Square, Radio City, Carnegie Hall…I’ve been to them all. My family and friends are still in Westchester so the Big Apple gets holiday and weekend visits. I prefer living upstate in Saratoga county and turned down Columbia and Syracuse universities for Albany State and graduated cum laude in the early eighties. Then I moved to California where I lived for the last 27 years! My daughter and I know the West like the back of our hand. We camped and skied all the major parks and ski resorts several times. There is a travel bug in me so if you want to drive the Pacific Coast Highway then I’m your guide. Discovering new people and places is like breathing fresh mountain air. I have a tank full of positive energy and I’m passionate about most everything I do. Kissing is a lost art. Spooning under the covers on a stormy night is one of the most peaceful feelings there is. I am young at heart, in mind, and spirit and stay fit so I can enjoy skiing from the top, hitting the baseline on the tennis court, or flipping the catamaran on a windy day. Don't let grey hair scare you away. I'm OK if you dye yours. I’m a kid in a candy store at Barnes and Nobles, a literate geek who thinks of Moby Dick when I’m at Starbucks. I love books and admit being turned off by mindless TV. I like to teach and I want to learn. I like being loved and love being part of something bigger than oneself. Family and friends are important and carving out time is essential. Children are a priority and investing time is required to do it right. My daughter made the decision to move with me to the East Coast. Thank God we brought the mildest winter ever. It’s been quite a transition! In a relationship I look for several connections. Common interests are important. Mental connections are as important as physical attraction, more so. I’ll help stack firewood and clean the dishes but I will want to see the Yankees and the Giants. I’ll plow the driveway, replace the gutters, build a deck or install new cabinets. I can listen to Adele and Sade but I can PLAY Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Beatles and James Taylor on guitar. Sit with me by the campfire and pour yourself on me. I’d rather listen than do all the talking. I saute a killer scampi, fire grill the best roast but I need help mastering rice!! I enjoy life’s little things – a full moon, knowing the planets, the change in seasons. Dinner for two by candlelight is fine and so is a noisy family holiday feast. I’m flexible and like it that way….going with the flow.
