Ok, I've never actually been to a monster-truck rally, but before you click that 'back' button let me just say that I have always been curious about what goes on there and I am open to the idea of going to one (with a certain degree of irony, of course). I grew up in Atlanta, and although most people wonder why I don't have a southern accent, I do occasionally meet someone who thinks I REALLY have a southern accent. I just moved to LA after 11 years in New York, and I'd love to meet someone who can introduce me to this city and show me all the great things I've been missing by living on the East Coast. I'm a cinematographer. At this point in my career I shoot mostly small independent films with a lot of heart and integrity, but someday I hope to be shooting the kind of big hackneyed Hollywood movies that make you wonder why anyone would shell out $11 to have their intelligence insulted for two hours. That will be like a dream-come-true for me. In the meantime, I know there's a lot going on here, and I'd like to meet someone to discover new things with. I'd like to meet someone who'd want to go to a movie neither us had ever heard of, or find the best little restaurant tucked away in an alley, with no sign, or yes, possibly even attend a monster-truck rally. And oh yeah, if you like karaoke, that's a big plus too.
