Hello. I'm terrible at these things, so please bear with me. I work extremely hard and it seems like most of the time we're defined by our careers. Though I love what I do, I'd like to be remembered for other contributions to this world.
A military brat growing up, I tended to live quite a few places after college. I worked/lived in DC. Actually most of the time there I lived in Annapolis. Caught my own crab and boiled them; fresh seafood - awesome, deplorable BBQ though. Lived in Charlotte; fun town; great BBQ. If you've noticed the trend, yes I do love food. I love most any genre of cooking as long as it has meat and isn't eastern Indian - curry doesn't like me. I’m also a recovering musician. I say recovering because I spent a lot of time in college doing that and nothing else, whereas anymore it’s rather difficult to find the time.
I don't want to define an "ideal" type since I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. As for a type though, I'm looking for someone who has a desire for learning, be it new hobbies, ideas, etc. - not necessarily meaning a college degree but can carry on a substantive conversation; someone who is goal-oriented; someone who enjoys discovery and is just as interested in the “why” as the “how” of things.
Most importantly, I have a beautiful, perfect daughter. She turned 1 in June. I am not looking for a mother for her. Hers is doing just fine and we have an amicable relationship. But if things progressed to that point, I would hope the woman I choose to be with would be comfortable with that and understand that my daughter is a part of me. I’m not looking to get married right away, but not running from the eventuality either.
I just moved to the area in June and am still becoming familiar with all that SWFL has to offer. Of course, I love the beach. I would like to spend more time on the water and eventually get back into sailing.
