I enjoy the company and conversation of people who are well read, well informed and can provide thought provoking discourse or debate. Being able to laugh at yourself is a gift, one I practice daily.

I love learning, travelling, reading. I glory in some of the most inane things; a sunrise, a vibrant street scene, a scoop of pecan praline ice cream. I enjoy being active; i used to play rugby until a spate of recent injuries. I ride my bicycle frequently.
Spiritual without being religious, somewhat introverted, loyal to a fault, a dragon slayer and unicorn hunter to boot. There aren't any left, so that should tell you something. They disturb the peace, and i like peace. And tranquility.
I try to enjoy my life. There are millions of people in far worse situations than I am and I try to remain cognisant and appreciative of that. I grew up in Africa, poverty and strife are not unknown to me. Blessings counted. I believe in the mantra "when you lose, don't lose the lesson."
I am an optimist. Or at least I think I am. I can always see the sunny side. Those who know me would say I can be pessimistic. I prefer to think of that as being nothing other than an "experienced realist." I'm the guy who responds "the glass is full, half water, half air."
I'm looking for a happy, active, introspective person with a fantastic sense of humour and adventure. Someone who want's to see the world, and knows exactly where in the world they would like to say they've been. I prefer someone who is multilingual. If you love dragons, well, that might be a problem....
