I am originally from the DC area, shocking I know, I have lived in other cities (Nashville and Boston) before landing back in DC 4 years ago.
I am as happy in my heels as I am in my comfy sweatshirt. I could go out to a bar or to dinner as much as I appreciate staying home to cook and watch a movie.
I appreciate people who are not afraid to try new things, who are willing to learn as well as to teach me new things, and who have a general joy for life. Recently, I faced my longtime distaste for running by doing a half-marathon and 10k, and found that while I am not great at it, I actually really like running. My family is very important to me, so I hope to find a partner who shares that same value of loyalty to their friends and family. My family always spends Christmas with my beloved grandparents together in Marco Island and then in the summers we all spend the 4th of July together celebrating in Kennebunkport.
I love team sports. I really enjoy playing softball during the summers and floor hockey in the winters. I try and play tennis year round, in the winter I play at the Georgetown indoor courts and in the summer I play in Volta Park.
I feel like life is too short to take too seriously, so might as well have fun and a few laughs along the way! I hope to share that with someone who feels the same way.
