I came to the US almost 12 years ago (time sure does fly!) for college - did my undergrad here and had 4 of the most amazing years - I majored in Computer Science, so yes I'm a little bit of a geek. I worked in Virginia for about a year but I used to end up visiting New York city a lot as my sister was a trader on Wall Street and I visited her - During my visits I fell in love with the city and moved up here shortly afterwards.
I currently live in Manhattan and work in software at a bank - it's a tough job but the hours are manageable - plus it pays and I'm able to pursue things that I'm passionate about. That being said,, I'm also an aspiring musician - It's something that I believe I've always been genuinely good at and am very passionate about. I believe in reaching for the stars and keeping your feet still firmly planted - so it's important for me to remain in the software business while achieving the dream of becoming a musician one day.
I love to travel - though I haven't been to many places - I'm hoping to change that this year - what I realized that it's not the destination that makes a trip fun, it's the company you're with! I also like explore the nightlife scene in the city as do the million other young professionals here - I love watching live music - I get constant inspiration to make my music better.
I also consider myself to be very family oriented - that's how I was raised and I intend to give that life, love, comfort and happiness to my children one day. I think it's important to take the time and put in the effort to determine whether it feels right to move towards those steps - I always date with an intention of going the whole nine yards (marriage etc. ) - if it doesn't work then that's perfectly fine but I like to head into relationships with a long term vision in mind. In every relationship, I believe it's important to always keep the bridge of communication open and flowing - it cuts down any misunderstandings, negative vibes and ensures that we're on the same page.
