So I am completely new to this and Im finding it hard to find my creative juices. But here goes and here's the deal...
If I am going to do this, Im going to be honest. And rather than spend time trying to create "flowery" language in the hopes of selling myself- I am going to tell the truth about who I am & what Im looking for. If thats you- then youre the one. If its not, then I (and you) can say that I was honest in trying.
It may not be cool (and against guy code) to admit that I would love to be in a meaningful relationship with someone as committed to me as I am to her.
If I could create my "perfect" relationship it would be respectful with each person honoring the other, completely honest while understanding each others insecurities (but not leveraging them), trusting while protecting each others hearts, and having fun. I want to be able to laugh with and at her and enjoy our time together. The relationship would be the #1 priority and we would have the financial freedom to travel and explore where we want to. I would want to treat her as the special person she is, and know that I am appreciated too. And yeah, I know nobody is perfect and I don't expect a relationship to be perfect. But I do expect to appreciate and respect you for who you are. Still reading??
Now, as I read over the words I just wrote, I don't want it to come off the wrong way. Im a normal guy who wants a great relationship. Like you I want the lightning bolt. In an ideal world, I would see you across a crowded room, make eye contact, walk up to you and ask- "is it you?" In my 43 years it hasn't happened, but that's why we're here right? Match is going to give us a boost.
I am part old fashioned and part 21st century. The old fashioned part of me still opens every door for the woman Im with, still walks behind her entering a restaurant, walks on the curb side of the sidewalk, drives everywhere and pays for every meal. If you have a problem with that- move on to the next profile because those are my non-negotiables.
