At heart, I'm a people person. I inspire my students to embrace the power of education and become life-long learners. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I'm fortunate to have been shaped by loving and caring family members, I'm thankful to have a close group of friends, and I'm glad to be passionate about what I do. Right before I was about to start high school, my family moved from Los Angeles to San Diego. I was fortunate to have a coach who not only helped me with the transition, but also played an instrumental role in helping me become who I am today. Throughout college I struggled with choosing a career path. I was torn between a career in engineering or teaching in urban schools. To this day I have no regrets.
I'm looking for someone who has a good sense of humor and isn't afraid to laugh at herself. Laughter is such an important part of life that can bring so much joy to a relationship. I'm very easy-going, social, and approachable person. I tend to break the ice with humor when I meet new people. This tendency to make others laugh may sometimes give me the goofy label, but I have a caring and thoughtful side. I also really enjoy discussing real world issues.
