I'm "a realist masquerading as a cynic who is secretly an optimist" - that’s something the man formerly known as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air once said and it surprisingly resonated...forget the fact that it was from a mediocre rom-com...
Don't know if I ever saw myself one day describing my personality using a line from someone who sang alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff but that's happened and I'm sticking to it. Going through life with sometimes-misplaced wit, a tinge of sarcasm and a lot of laughs, I am a person who likes routine and balance but on the contrary, I can be a walking contradiction and very much thrive off of the unexpected, being on-the-go and trying new things.
I am a driven, hard working, successful person. I embrace the downtime when I get it which is more often as I have become more successful in my career. I'm an LA native (I know, shocking, right?) who likes to have fun with the good people I surround myself with and am lucky enough to do so on a daily basis. My friends and family mean the world to me and they come first and foremost with anything and everything. Music is a big part of my work/life (I'm not an aspiring singer or musician - not that I find anything wrong with that) so I spend a lot of time going to live shows at either at my favorite LA venues like The Greek, Wiltern, El Rey or at local bars like Hotel Cafe, Molly Malones, etc. Lines between work and fun have blurred in a good way because I love what I do and I have gotten to a point in my career where I can maintain a healthy work/life balance.
I don't take myself too seriously - I will turn any space into a dance floor and sing-along at karaoke but can sit and have a serious talk over a glass of wine or sit silently while watching a movie whether it be on the couch, at Hollywood Forever Cemetery or at the SM pier. With that said, I love exploring everything LA has to offer - a light foodie, I like trying new restaurants, bars, going to new museum exhibits, going to a game (baseball, college football or basketball - need to get some soccer in). I like to travel and wish I managed to fit more in - even a few more weekend road trips would be nice. As I get more time on my hands, I hope to play around with photography a little, learn how to keep a garden alive other than just a cactus, cook more, try canning and pickling, some antique shopping, read some more, maybe learn an instrument, etc.
I would love to find a passionate, ambitious and driven individual to be my partner in all the crazy and mundane parts of life. I am inspired by people who are passionate about anything in their life - and who are looking to achieve something and constantly grow throughout their lives.
