I was born a poor black child.
Since then, I have moved back to Columbus after spending an amazing year in Manhattan.
One of the best weekends I spent in New York was when I went to Shawangunk Ridge to rock climb. While the drive itself was beautiful, getting to the top of the pitch was astonishing. For miles, all I could see were trees and sprinkled throughout was the occasional farm. I felt overwhelming joy being surrounded by so much nature.
It made me realize how small we are not only on this planet but in the universe. Even though we are just a mote of dust drifting through space, the fact we are part of this is amazing.
My ideal match likes meth, punching puppies in the face, and Nickelback...just kidding...she must love Nickelback.
