I'm a fun loving, silly girl who loves hanging out with my friends. I like to laugh at myself and enjoy people who can do the same.
I am graduating this semester from The Ohio State University, and just moved home to Cincy. I am getting my degree in Special Education and am passionate about this field. You will never find kids that you will fall in love with quicker than some of the children with special needs that I have worked with. Student teaching was one of the best experiences, and I miss my little preschoolers with special needs everyday (even if they would sometimes kick or throw things at me:)
However, I am also passionate about inequalities in society, specifically poverty and children living in poverty. I have been in a lot of inner city schools where most of the children were on free and reduced lunch. Because of this, I am getting my Ph.D. in Educational Studies with a concentration in special edat UC. I hope to do research on low SES (socioeconomic status) environments and children with special needs.
However, I am not all work and no play. I love to go out, grab a drink and just have a good time. I like to dance, listen to a live band or just sit down somewhere chill, wherever the night or the mood takes me. I am pretty easy going. I also am very active and love to run and swim.
