What brings me joy? The change of seasons, being out in nature where I can bear witness to the slightest changes and mark their arrival, the shyness and playfulness of songbirds and animals, pushing beyond what I thought were physical limits and realizing that the human body is stronger, faster, and more resilient than I knew, wasting time with old friends and with family, learning new things and experiencing that moment where the world shifts ever so slightly, creating home, traveling and feeling newly alive and then experiencing the longing to return home, expressions of unexpected generosity and selflessness in others, listening to stories and receiving an invitation to share my own, the recognition of a fellow-traveler on a spiritual path, and many other simple pleasures. I have gratitude for life lessons, for the person I have become because of my experiences. Friends describe me as caring and compassionate. My life has always seemed to be such an opportunity to effect change, to bring the presence of the creator more into the world, and to love. My great desire is to have someone to share this with me. My view of each person is holistic, and someone who cares for their mind, body, and spirit will be attractive to me, as will be someone who laughs easily and shares their joy with me.
