I am looking for a guy who first and foremost treats me with respect and like a lady. I want a man who can be a man and plan a date and pick the restaurant instead of constantly deferring to me, although I do like to get asked on occasion :). I also want someone who doesn't take life too seriously and can make me laugh. I need to be attracted to the man and that has been my biggest obstacle recently, as I have met some wonderful, sweet men who would treat me well, but the spark just isn't there. I am ultimately looking for someone that I desire and yearn to spend time with. I love attention, but I don't want a man overly needy. By this, and this has happened to me in the past, I don't want my boyfriend to throw a fit if I spend an evening with my friends or family; the guy should have his own life and own friends which can sometimes be commingled with mine.
At this stage of my life I am ready to get serious and after getting out of a long term relationship, I am now ready to meet my next significant other!!
Honesty is important, as I have gone on multiple dates with men who have secret girlfriends which I did not know of until the men were caught. With that, I am somewhat guarded and remember, we are all strangers! I am absolutely willing to meet someone from here but I would like to get to know him somewhat prior to the first meeting! Plus, a girl has to be careful!
